Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can, and only to reply to you and run the site. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

What we collect

When you send a project enquiry, we receive what you type into the form:

  • Your project or brand name and your description of it
  • The services you’re interested in, your project’s stage, budget and timeline
  • Your name
  • The way you’d like us to reach you and the handle, phone number or email address you give for it
  • How you found us, if you tell us
  • The IP address and browser the enquiry was sent from

When you visit the site, our server briefly sees technical information every website receives, such as your IP address and browser type. We also count visits with privacy-friendly analytics, described below.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project
  • To prepare a proposal and, if we work together, to deliver the project
  • To keep the site secure and stop spam and automated abuse
  • To keep a record of what was agreed, and who asked for what
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it

We don’t sell, rent or trade your information, and we don’t add you to mailing lists.

Spam protection

The enquiry form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that it’s being used by a person, not a bot. Turnstile looks at signals from your browser to do this and is designed not to track you across other sites. Its use of that data is covered by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

We also use your IP address to limit how many enquiries can be sent in a short time. That running count is held in memory for up to an hour and isn’t saved.

When an enquiry is sent, the IP address and browser it came from are stored alongside it. That record helps us tell real enquiries from automated ones and deal with abuse. We don’t use it to track you or to build a profile.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count visits and see which pages and sections are used. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t store your IP address, and doesn’t build a profile of you or follow you across other sites. We only ever see totals, such as how many people visited a page, which country they visited from and what kind of device they used.

We also count a few actions on the site, like opening the enquiry form, reaching each step of it, and which contact method was chosen when an enquiry is sent. These counts never include what you typed into the form.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of services to run Blue Brick. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

  • Discord: new enquiries are delivered to a private channel that only our team can see.
  • Cloudflare: for the spam check described above.
  • Umami: for the anonymous visit counts described above.
  • Our hosting provider: the server that runs this site.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. These providers may process data outside your country. We choose providers that protect it appropriately.

Cookies

This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics work without cookies. The spam check may use what it strictly needs to work.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries, including the IP address they came from, while we’re discussing or working on a project, and for up to 24 months after our last contact so we have a record of what was agreed. After that we delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that’s wrong
  • Delete your information
  • Stop contacting you

Depending on where you are, laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the UK, or the CCPA in California, may give you further rights. We’ll respond to any request within 30 days. Mention your project code if you have one, so we can find your enquiry quickly.

Security

We protect your information with access controls and encrypted connections, and limit who on our team can see it. No system is perfectly secure, so never send us private keys, seed phrases or passwords. We will never ask for them.

Children

This site and our services are for people aged 18 and over.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
